Happy Wednesday Everyone! I finally can share a little sneak peek of a special book I’ve been working on for a while. This has been a lifelong dream to tell a story that is close to my heart. “Coquí in the City”, is a story about how Miguel and his family move from Puerto Rico to the U.S., leaving his beloved pet Coquí and his beautiful island behind. While saying goodbye is very difficult, Miguel finds a way to adjust. He discovers things that are similar, welcomes new experiences, and most importantly holds his memories and culture close to his heart. More images to come. Feliz Día de Los Reyes! Happy Three Kings Day! Today is a special day for children around many parts of the world. They get to receive more gifts! Yesss!!! Three Kings Day is a traditional holiday celebrated by many Hispanic Families. On Víspera de Reyes or the Eve of Three Kings Day Puerto Rican children will cut and collect grass to put under their beds for the Three Kings Camels to eat. To their surprise, the Three Kings will bring gifts! This wonderful holiday time is to commemorate the Magi’s visit to baby Jesus. #tresreyes #threekings #navidad #nativity #puertorico #childrensbooks #gifts #magi #chirstmas #illustration #kids #picturebooks
